bidding on a great restorable 1968 mercury couger.this is an actual barn find,i found this car in a barn,you could barely see the nose of the car.so i went around asking until i found the owner.and to my surprise he was willing to let go of it,he stated that he had owned this car for the last 32 years"thats a long time"since he was 16.anyway about the car.IT DOES NEED RESTORED but wow what a car to start with.as you can see in the pics the body is in really good condition.there is a dent in the passenger quarter"easy fix"the front floor pans have some rust not a big big deal.it needs an ignition switch because he couldn't find the key.it has the trunk key,the drivers door latch has come unhooked so you have to open it from the inside.the brakes work but you have to pump them so i'm sure it will need some brake work.it has parts in the trunk.the trunk pan looks good.now this is what he told me about the car.it has a 351-W slightly built automatic trans and a posi rearend.the engine sounds good trans seems good.i haven't driven it but just enough to see if the trans works due to the brakes.it has traction bars duel exaust headers aluminum valve covers and intake edelbrock carb.it needs the headliner redone but all in all the interior isn't to bad.to have been sitting in a barn for the last 10+ years.the car has been a standard shift,the clutch peddle is still there.i will be happy to anwser any and all questions to the best of my knowledge.it has a clear tennessee title FOR SALE OR TRADE. keep watch i will be listing several project cars in the next while.On Apr-15-10 at 07:05:53 PDT, seller added the following information: i have been informed this is not an XR-7. the title is just for an eye catcher to get lookers.it does not state anywhere in the listing that this is an XR-7 THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING.
