Vehicle Detail

~~oo00oo~~ ~~oo00oo~~ Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park 1984 “Woody” station wagon 351 V8 – 5.8 liter The 351 option is VERY RARE! This is a mint condition Grand Marquis Colony Park station wagon with only 40,000 miles (showing 66,000 kilometers – originally a Canadian car so a metric speedometer). It is a 1 previous owner and after about a year in Canada, the car was raised in Arizona car so it is as clean as a whistle – a true survivor. All Grand Marquis Colony Parks of this era were fitted with one engine only; the 302 V8 Windsor. On a very select and small number of cars, Ford fitted the 351 V8 in extremely limited quantities, only because the factory briefly “ran out” of 302 V8s and so 351 V8s were fitted so as to not hold up production. This is one of those cars! It has the very rare and highly desirable factory fitted 351 V8. This Colony Park sports all original body, paint, wood siding, chrome. All in outstanding condition. Only some minor chips in the paint on the leading edge. Not a single spec of rust anywhere. The underside is dry and clean. Even though the car has been located in Illinois for the last year it has never seen snow or salt. It is part of a private collection and as such is professionally stored in a climate controlled garage. Everything works as it should – electric windows, seats, tail-gate, aerial, cruise control, gauges and instruments. Heater blows toasty and A/C is ice cold. The interior is excellent. The velour on the seats is perfect without any wear or marks – it truly is like new. The dual opening tail-gate is a great memory and very functional! Mechanically excellent with no oil leaks or exhaust leaks. Simply, a smooth highway cruiser. You won’t find better. Please see the link to the photos which say it all. Click HERE to see additional photos! !! Please note: eBay would not accept the VIN and nor would it allow me to list the car without it (probably because it was originally a Canadian car) so the one shown is NOT the VIN for this car. The correct VIN is: 1MEBP94G4EZ64004 !! What an honor! This actual car and photos is featured for reference on renown international encyclopaedia ~~ WIKIPEDIA.COM. Check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Colony_Park What a great bit of discussion when you know YOUR OWN CAR is the main feature on a credible and highly regarded on-line reference site such as this! ~~oo00oo~~ ~~oo00oo~~ This Mercury is part of my private collection. I am not a broker or retail car dealer; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of classic cars (primarily British cars). I take a lot of pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder; please understand you have entered a binding contract. A $2000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. If all the funds are not received as indicated above, I reserve the right the keep the deposit and resell the vehicle by re-listing or to another bidder. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of classic cars, I make every effort to bring my cars to a very high standard but the very nature of any older car is such that it is not always possible to attend to every single item, or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked an item. Further, a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment, may decide to play-up the next. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. Becasue of the vehicle's age, the car is being sold "mileage exempt" which means no warranty can be provided as to the correctness of the mileage indicated. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-26 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”. At least, I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, DO NOT BID. ~~oo00oo~~ See this link about the rarity of the 351 V8 option: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Grand_Marquis
