Vehicle Detail
1964 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster, soft and hard top 327/300 HP automatic Power steering and brakes Red exterior, black interior AM-FM stereo cassette in dash Original AM-FM radio in box Brand new Firestone P205/75R15 white wall tires Correct set of whitewall tires "in box" Correct spinner hub caps Numbers matching car Chapman security lock-system Mileage 97,985 miles I purchased this car in September of 1990 at 88,671 miles and to the best of my knowledge from inspections and contacts with previous owners, it is an original, numbers matching car with limited restoration. The interior is original and in clean, good, worn condition. Dash pads have no cracks or tears and all gauges work. Engine runs strong and transmission shifts smartly without slippage. During my almost 20 years of ownership, the car has always been kept in a heated garage with car cover. The paint is in very good condition with some minor chips and scratches that do not detract from its outstanding appearance. Hard top was just repainted. I have not had the hard top on in over fifteen years, and it was scratched up in storage. Body is straight and clean with good gap fits and inspections reveal no evidence of body damage from accidents. Chrome is in good condition with minor checking and age dulling. Between 81,500 and 81,800 mileage, a previous owner had extensive work done by a Corvette specialist to replace numerous suspension parts, starter, radiator, hoses, water pump, ignition parts, gaskets, seals and general maintenance items. Also a new soft top was installed in 1990 prior to my purchase of the car. During my ownership I have installed a new, correct factory exhaust system, new ignition parts, plugs, plug wires, etc., new engine valve guide seals, heater core and headlight lift mechanism. The "missing" chrome distributor top shield will be furnished to the new owner. The car is an exceptional driver and a real pleasure to take on the road. I have driven this car on long and short vacation/pleasure trips in mountains, on open roads and Midwest country sides. This car has tremendous curb appeal and has been a real joy to drive and experience "top down" fun and "feel of the road". I am not computer savvy and do not have email, so my son David is listing this. For questions call me (Mike) at 812-877-1654 or you can email David through this posting.
