Vehicle Detail
1974 Opel Manta Lexus. Opel Manta Lexus with an automatic transmission, made drivable with minor work. Car is maroon with a maroon interior. Automatic transmission with a 1.9 liter 4 cylinder. This car has minimal rust on the rear quarters, very small. I believe the odometer reading is under 50,000 miles. I have all the lenses and other trim pieces missing in the photo. She is a bit dusty as you can see, but a solid car. This car currently does not run. Last time I drove this car was spring of 2009. The car will need a set of spark plug wires and a new battery. The vinyl top was cracked and has been removed and there are no front or rear bumpers. They were the real ugly Ralph Nader style, and the Manta's look better without them. I have the title. Please e-mail me with any questions. You are welcome to view the car, I am 2 hours away from Chicago. If you want I can also sell the trailer the car is currently on with the car for an additional cost. Thanks for looking. Jim I will be loading some additional photos on Monday I just loaded these additional pictures. I also looked at the odometer, it says 225. I have another gauge cluster that says 33,000 miles. I have had this car for about 10 years, so I am a bit fuzzy, but I think the 33,000 mile cluster came form this car. I had 2 opels for a while and I have a ton of parts available outside this auction. I know for sure this car has not rolled the odometer. This car drove perfect last time out, the trans shifted perfect, but it needs some TLC to get her running again. The battery has been re-located to the trunk. There are 4 small holes in the trunk lid. I assume it was for a luggage rack, but I did not get one when I bought it. NO RESERVE auction, I just need the space. Again, I have all the lenses, grill, emblems etc that is missing in the photosand will go with the car.On Apr-12-10 at 19:17:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had many inquiries about the car and have been asked for additional pictures. These are pictures of the worst rust on the car. You can see the quarters have rust and the front quarter on the drivers side as well. The bottom of both fenders are staring to rust also. The battery box is very solid, there are 2 small holes about 4 inches above the bottom of the battery box on the inner fender, maybe where road debris built up. I have not even looked at this car since I drove it last and apologize that I did not post these pictures earlier. I have 10 cars and it getting hard to remember each one after a while. All of these panels can be easily fixed, but I just wanted to let everyone know.
