Vehicle Detail
1996 Porsche 993 Carerra Cabriolet. (911). I am the 3rd owner. The vehicle shows just over 34K miles currently. Has only had Mobile one Full synthetic all of it's life. (Recommended). Non-smoker. The car is completely Stock and without any modifications. Everything functions as it should with ice cold A/c , heat, lights, gauges, turn singals, etc. Schwartz Black w/Cork interior. 6 speed manual. It came from NV and is was Originally sold in Las Vegas, Nevada. I bought it with 33K Original miles 2.5 years ago. It has been garaged ALL of it's life, hence the luster in the Paint. I have the Original window sticker at just under $80k. Has been recently smogged and tags renewed. Like New Pirelli Tires. Suspension is excellent. Clean Cork, leather interior. Includes Facotry spare, and tool kit. I have a current CAR FAX which is available. Never any accidents or issues. - Includes Tonneau boot, Wind Screen, and Car Cover. Came with a Draw tite bicycle rack, which I have, but was removed. Since I have owned it, the Local Porsche dealer installed New factory Top locking-mechanism motors. Changed oil , trans fluid and brake fluid. Replaced interior light and lighter. Has a Brand new Optima Redtop battery with spiralcell tech. Has new brakes. Testing: The engine was tested with perfect compression in all 6 @ 150 lbs each. Seals are in great shape. Leaks absolutely no oil. Mechanic stated the car has been well cared for. -Passed Mutli-Point inspection at Pacific Porsche including road test. Receipts included in Black Leather Porsche Binder. I spent 18 months looking for this car. I missed one at Hoehn Porsche in Carlsbad, CA which sold in 3 weeks. The manager told me, this is a Collector's car in the most desirable color combination. This is the last of the Air Cooled, and Hand Built Porsche cabrio's. They sound amazing! Not an assembly line built car and you'll know it when you shut the door, which is like closing a vault. The interior is mostly Analog with huge gauges. Not the digital cars of today. I have been on Ebay for 15 years with a perfect rating. I sold an exotic motorcycle a few years back on Ebay Motors which shipped to Indiana. The ONLY reason I am selling this car is to purchase an exotic motorcycle collection. This car could be perfect with a few minor details. - It has a small tear , between the 2 rear seats, in the column. I had the option of repairing this as the leather isn't torn away...it coud be stitched. However, I considered re-skinning the entire interior and adding black piping to the front seats. For a perfect restoration and new car-leather smell. -It has a micro dent in the passenger door. I will take pics. It's very hard to find, and very easy to remove. -Cabrio top currently does not go up or down. Worked fine before, but car has been sitting. Need to have it inspected and update before end of auction. Please email with any questions. I will ad more pics in a day or so. Thanks for your interest. On Feb-05-19 at 23:11:07 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE : 2-5-19 Has Factory Porsche electric Tire Pump, Dual 8-way Power seats (Factory Option) New front and rear hood struts. Factory Radio and Code.On Feb-06-19 at 14:59:06 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Cabrio top checked. Top is on straight. Fuse #13 is fine, E-brake engages. Determined will either need a new relay or control module. I have no time to fix before end of auction with parts order and repair time. IF car does not sell, I will have it repaired, and re-list with a slightly higher asking price. I could not get a pic of the micro dent. It is just below the passenger side mirror and so small, the camera won't pick it up with glare. It's hard to find unless pointed out. No paint is chipped. The 993 does have new Porsche floor mats. I also have Factory Porsche Top cleaner & Conditioner, as well as Griot's garage 3 in 1 leather conditioner. -See new pics.On Feb-06-19 at 15:46:44 PST, seller added the following information: Mechanic also said the Horn return bushings ($50) need to be replaced. Horn works fine, but is sensitive due to age of car. I bought this car from an Ederly man out of Las Vegas. Is was well cared for and was never mistreated. It is a fine example of a True Air cooled classic.
