This is our 1973 VW Thing, it has been stored in an indoor desert climate storage since the early 80's. This is a worthwhile restoration project as it has a rust free body with the only damage being under the left rear tail light (see pic) and under the battery as the usual spot for these VW's. Paint faded and chipped but original! Interior and top will need redone, windshield has a crack. We installed brand new tires upon taking it out of storage. Doors open and shut nice and firm. Mechanically the original engine runs excellent BUT it will need the throttle cable replaced, we had to feed fuel to it from the carb as it does not pull from the tank. Brakes need bled, not driveable until these things are fixed. I have in hand the clean and clear California title/pink slip.
