The car is unrestored and looks a little rough with its old faded matt black paint job and patina on the roof, but mechanically, this car has been gone through and IS a running & driving car. You may choose to roll with it like it is with its full throttle, sinister, Hell-Billy Deluxe attitude or totally restore it into trailer queen... either way, you can't go wrong picking this car. If you've been shopping for a '60 model Caddy, and you want the 2 door hardtop, then you probably already know that most of what you'll find are completely restored cars costing over 50 grand, or basket case projects you have to drag home. This one is neither. It's a solid car, with minimal rust to fix ( see video ) It runs & drives and most importantly, it's 100% complete. You won't have to go hunting down all the missing pieces, as you would with most old project cars. I bought this car a few years ago, just because I always wanted a '60 model Caddy. I couldn't afford the totally restored ones and didn't want a major project car either. I've had my fun with it. I paid 9,000 for the car and put another 7,500 into it for the windshield, motor work, transmission seals, brake system & tires. I wanted to keep it and restore it someday, and was just going to cruise around in it like it is until that day comes, but I've come to realize that I'm probably never going to get around to it b/c I have too many other projects. I am a licensed dealer and when I bought this car I registered it to my dealership so I could just slap my dealer plate on it when I wanted to drive it, so, if you buy it, everything will be on the up & up. All the title work will flow through the dealership, but I do not charge any of those bogus "Documentation Fees"... I put a video together last year when I first listed it for sale. At that time I was asking 18,900. Like I said, I have a total of 16,500 in it, a little profit would have been nice, but I'm motivated to sell it now. I don't know if I'll get what I have in it back out, you usually never do w/ toys like this, so I'm willing to take a loss to free up some garage space & some cash flow, just make me a fair and reasonable offer.
