Vehicle Detail
Selling my dad's 1929 Ford, model "A". He is 87 and has owned it for longer than I can remember but his vision has failed and he can no longer drive. I have personally done all the maintenance over the past 15 years or so. Last year I put in a new steering box ($1000), step pads, battery, rebuilt carb, generator and amp meter. He drove it in local parades around his house and some car shows. I fixed the water pump leak but it still has a small leak of oil from the engine. Dad says they all did that back then. It starts, stops, runs and drives very good and has always been dependable. With the advance and throttle at minimum it "pa-chucks" really great and frankly, I think amazingly cool! It could use a new headliner, it looks to be original. There are small bubbles at base of rumble seat lid on drivers side in photo. That has been there as long as I have known the car. I think it is paint reaction and not rust. The underside has NO rust on body and frame is original paint. The interior seats and rumble seat are very good condition. Lights all work, horn tries real hard. Tires have great tread. Chrome is good and shiny. A great parade and fun car, my girls loved to ride in the rumble (Mother in Law) seat and your grandkids will have a ball doing the same. You wont win any Concours De Elegance trophies but he has a box full of local ones. The reserve is very very low as he wants it to be sold to someone who loves the American history and will drive it. Good luck and good bidding. I have listed all known imperfections but will send as many photo's as you need to make you comfortable.Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.Cash or wire transfer only, no exceptions.I have a great shipper if you need a quote. (I build six figure hot rods as my retirement hobby and use Eric exclusively)
