Vehicle Detail

Here's a clean DualSpark, Titan Silver Metallic 2004 BMW R1150RT with servo ABS, >136,000 miles, well-maintained, with new Michelin Pilot Road 3 & 4 tires (180/55ZR17 rear), and plenty of useful and functional accessories including: Super comfy, height adjustable Sargent seat set, FULL Remus exhaust which includes the now rare-as-rocking-horse-poo large diameter headers, 'S" pipe and aluminium muffler with quiet core, stainless steel reusable oil filter housing (no throwaway oil filters any longer), Spiegler six piece braided brake hose kit, Braking-brand wavy rotors all round with new EBC brake pads, BMW topbox, shift lever extender, brake pedal extender, sidestand plate enlarger, clear front turn indicator lenses with amber bulbs, wider but standard height Cee Bailey's clear windscreen and Cee Bailey's headlight protector, heavy duty Throttlemeister bar end weights, LED strip below the headlight, PIAA headlight bulbs, BMW panniers with expando liners, switchable pulsey-winky brake light, Touratech RT-specific handlebar bag, dual accessory sockets for your charger or heated gear, front Fenda Extenda, full toolkit with tire puncture repair plugs, lockable oil filler plug with key, and original owner's manual. But, the piece de resistance is freshly rebuilt, heavy duty Ohlins suspenders, front and rear. They were spec'd by a previous owner who required a heavy spring. Alex from Alyxmoto did the recent work on 'em. What else is new? It has recently (last coupla years) been the recipient of new throttle bodies (yep, that's right), new stick coils, a new secondary coil (shielded, the cop version), a Rhine West ECU (revs like stink), a carbon fibre, two-piece, 50% larger than stock air intake, a new fuel pump and fuel filter, metal quick releases for the fuel hoses, a BMC reusable air cleaner, and factory oil cooler fan motor. It has also had a fresh oil change (synthetic Mobil One 15W50), gearbox and final drive oil change (Castrol full synthetic GL5 Hypoid), all four NGK sparkies, the reusable BMC air cleaner has been washed and oiled, ignition timing checked, valve clearances and rocker arm freeplay checked and adjusted, and throttle bodies sync'd with a Twinmax. The clutch was replaced at around 90,000 miles, and I have kept up on the hydraulic clutch fluid bleed schedule. What does it need? Eventually it'll require a new battery, and the servo ABS occasionally trips a warning - I have bled and refilled the entire system using the appropriate tiny funnel arrangement, wheel circuits, too. The ABS brakes work, except for the occasional warning lamp. I have not put more than three hundred miles on it this past year and am moving, so soon won't have the room. No, the low battery voltage ABS light issue of the previous model R1100/K1100 does not apply in this case. I am a long-time Beemer guy with several different models, and stand behind what I sell. I want to be transparent about the slightly problematic fully integrated servo ABS on this series of Oilhead. If it's not something you're used to please be aware. This bike has taken me around the US and Canada with nary a breakdown and has never left me stranded at the roadside. What you're getting is a reliable, fast and relatively nimble - for an old girl - comfortable touring bike that does sport pretty well with the upgrades I've done over the years. Thanks for looking.
