Up for sale is my loved 1986 GMC Sierra Classic. It has been a great truck and is a blast to drive. It is very original for a truck of this year. I purchased it with plans of a full restoration but could not find the time. I actually enjoyed driving it too much. It runs well and drives very nice. The original 305 has been replaced with a 350 and it has plenty of power. The transmission shifts smooth and is a 700r4. Gas milage is great and the dual tanks last a long time. The suspension is tight and the steering is nice with no wandering. It has original rally wheels and BF Goodrich All terrain tired with plenty of life left. It stops as it should and is a joy to drive. As you may be able to tell it is bittersweet that I am selling this. I have decided to buy a jeep CJ and cannot keep them both. Cosmetically the truck is a 7 out of 10 and turns heads. The color is original but it was repainted some time in the past. There are some bumps and scrapes and a few hail dents but all in the truck shines and looks good. It is not perfect but still very respectable. There is some rust coming through in the cab and bottom of the doors. Furthermore the bed has a small bondo spot cracking. These rust spots are well contained in the areas shown in the photos. The rest is solid and nice. The floors are solid and the undercarriage is very clean and original. It leaks a little as these old trucks do. Nothing major about a quart a month or so. Maybe a little transfer case seepage as well. The emissions have been removed. The interior is nice and original. Clean but not perfect just like the rest of the truck. The seat is tear free and the headliner is nice. The carpet is pretty nice too. I have done my best to describe all of the imperfections so there are no surprises. It really is a great truck and has been one of my favorites. It is a good candidate for a daily driver as is or a better than normal project truck. You wont be disappointed. These short bed 4x4 are getting rare and this one has not been messed with too much. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am interested in helping any way I can.
