Vehicle Detail
THE ACTUAL VIN 1CD36B0C2583673 ... Ebay didn't recognize the VIN so I posted it here in the description RARE & one of the last ones remaining in the US , even world After so much thought, I reluctantly decided to sell my 1982 Fuego Turbo. The only reason why I am selling it it's because, by the time I get to it it will be another year or so. And that's because I already have a Delorean , a Maserati & a Fiat 131 in line in front of it to finish. I had 2 Fuegos , the other one was basically a daily driver with 42k only but it had rust on the bottom sills (bough that car in Conneticut), after driving it daily for 4 years, I took it apart, saved all the best bits including engine & transmission & the idea was to make 1 (the one listed here) out of the 2.The one I have listed here , -has the whole dash from the other one , the OZ wheels too , -had the hood already in primer , -PLUS a custom made intercooler (way superior that the original design which was known for the plastic to pop off at boost sometimes). This was done by Vortex Motorsport a few years ago. -It already has Bilstein shocks , - Replaced the US awful bumpers with a bumper kit for Fuegos that resemble more the euro versions or Argentinian GTA- I replaced headlights with Euro spec headlights that I picked up in Paris- comes with the spare motor with 42k miles on it- spare transmission 42k miles on it -extra hood from the other fuego I had-clear title-a folder with receipts , records & paperwork-also have spare gauge clusters I picked up overseas in phenomenal condition-OEM new mudflaps (in collage picture , just a little dirty)-many extra parts to finish this project-surprisingly the headliner lasted the test of time & has no tears or rips , it just sags a little but not terrible- Needs a fuel tank (the one it had had damage & didnt want fuel running thru the system with that tank) , I was going to order one from a couple of sources on the internet or just go with a modern fuel cell-Also forgot to mention that have brand new in a box spare glass that's sitting in my garage (just can't remember if it's OEM windshield or rear hatch glass (either way it's super rare to find & pricey...comes with the sale) Car has been sitting for a few years & it's not running. It will need restoration , a complete gone thru & for sure a thorough cleaning. The rear bumper has a crack on the fiberglass from when we were rolling it on the lot and bumped into an old bmw 320. I wanted to be the last one standing having one in the US , but I need to get to the other ones first. Hoping a Renault fanatic brings this one to glory & keeps it to be the last one as a piece of French auto history.
