1997 Porsche Boxster Black on black, leather seats, 2.5 liter 6 cylinder engine, 5sp Tiptronic/Auto transmission, runs and drives excellent. Very fun to drive, great car, we just don't need it, recently bought new cars and need the garage space. - Well maintained with history of receipts. Adult owned, I am third owner. Previous owner had car since 1999 and kept it well maintained by local Porsche shop in Orange County, all service intervals and preventative maintenance done. - Engine starts, idles and runs perfect. No warning lights. Recent tune with oil/filter, new water pump, thermostat, air filter and serpentine belt . Great on freeway or around town, has been used primarily to go to work and back, 20 mile round trip.- Cold AC - First year of production, early models did not have IMS bearing issues due to better design, later models did. Porsche mechanic regularly checked oil for this - no issues and recent tune no issues, has been a very reliable car. - Power top and windows work well. Recent work by convertible top shop included updated top, new mechanics, still under warranty. Over $1500. - Tires in very good condition, about a year old. Brakes replaced a couple years ago. - Was CA smogged early this year with no problems.- Body and paint overall good, paint does have minor scratches, door dents, etc but still looks very good and after a wash it always gets compliments.- Everything works on car except the button on the key that opens the locks on doors remotely. It worked fine until recently. Currently use the key to open the door and car auto-unlocks from there. May just need new battery in key, otherwise car does not really need anything. - The salvage title was cosmetic damage done while it was new on the dealer lot, dealer repaired with Porsche parts, dealer had to salvage title the car to sell it legally. No structural damage, car has no issues and previous owner had no issues last 20 years. We enjoy the car but recently bought new convertible, it now just sits in garage. - Car is for sale locally and I may have to cancel the auction if purchased.
