Here we have a great winter project. It is a 1962 Chevy C10 long bed pickup truck that needs some help. I bought this truck to build a hot rod to drive back and forth to work,but unfortunately I must sell it because I have more projects than my garage space will allow. When I got the truck it was a 6 cyl. 3 on the tree truck. I bought a nice 327 engine and TH350 automatic to replace the six. The engine will need rebuilding. It is still a standard bore. The original engine and transmission has been scrapped. The pictures show the condition pretty well. The rust is typical of a truck this age. I got most of the passenger side cab repairs done,and everything lines up well,but the driver's side still needs to be done. new panels are included for driver's floor and cab supports,also the door bottoms and lower fender patches. there is a new front hood panel and the strip that goes above the windshield. some patches will have to be fabricated like the areas around the rain gutters,unless you are going to make a roadster out of it. the glass is included and is all original and unbroken. not pictured are the windshield and back glass. both are useable,but the windshield has a wiper scratch in it. also not pictured is a new power brake booster and master cylinder to make it stop. the bed is in pretty nice shape for the age,just a few pinholes on the front rail. tailgate is pretty solid also. there are new galvanized metal strips that go between the wood included also. i think the only thing missing from the engine is a carburetor,but all manifolds,mounts,brackets,pumps,alternator,starter.hardware,etc are included with the sale. my boss has been kind enough to let me keep it in his shop,so it didn't have to sit outside,but it really needs to go to a new home soon.
