Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] This is a pretty rare 1956 Zundapp Model 201 scooter . The scooter starts and seems to run fairly well but could use a carb clean and a service . It has been repainted at some point but the original paint appears to be underneath. It originally was the blueish green color that a lot of these were. This particular model is electric start and all that seems to be working perfectly. The lights appear to be functioning correctly but the brake light seems to be staying on. The switch may need some adjusting. I recently bought this bike to possibly replace my other 1957 Zundapp 154k model but have decided to keep my other scooter as it is all original paint. The seat is a reproduction but looks nice and the foam is soft. The shocks like most of these era Zundapps could use some reconditioning. There are several websites and forums that can give you cheap alternatives that seem to work very well. These scooters are hard to find and just dont come up for sale very often in the states.While not perfect, this scooter seems very solid with minor imperfections that can be seem in the photos. There are nicks and scratches and a few small dings. The tires seem to be newer and shouldnt have to be replaced. The battery box / cover is not original but fiberglass replacements are available from an enthusiast in England and I can forward a link to his site for the new owner if desired. All in all its a nice and rare scooter that needs very little to be the coolest scooter in town. The bike is being sold as is, where is. I do have a clean Illinois title (open) for the bike. A local inspection is recommended and welcomed. Please look at the pictures very closely and ask any and all questions before bidding.
