1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas XJ8Owned and maintained by a Jag enthusiast. I have owned the car since 2009. I am the 3rd owner. Car runs and drives excellent.This is the extended long wheelbase Vanden Plas edition. All 4 seats are heated, ,Power seats, power windows, cruise,HIDs, stability control, ABS, Harmon Kardon stereo, Leather interior, Walnut Burl wood with inlays, Walnut Burl Picnic trays, sunroof. Full size spare. All maintenance was done by a euro specialist. All the weak points in this Jag have been addressed. Complete Timing chain and tensioner was done in 2009 at 80k, along with metal impeller water pump, metal thermostat housing. And the transmission rebuilt in 2013 because of the (A)drum failure that these trans are known for. It was rebuilt by a Borg Warner shop that specializes in these. All maintenance has been done , hoses, thermostat, belts all fluids, spark plugs ,all filters.This was a 3rd car used for pleasure, not used in the winter and never in the snow, hence the low miles put on. I always used Jag/oem parts and the same mechanic since purchase.Oil was changed every July with Mobile 1 Euro or Royal Purple. Everything works -every switch, every accessory, every feature. Mechanically excellent , always Garaged and taken care of. Has always had an easy suburban upstate life.The only problem is that Paint has faded on the hood and roof. There is also a small dent in the rear driver side door. Drivers leather seat shows some wear. I also have chrome XJR rims included .The accident in the carfax is a broken taillight at 9/2003 and the door dent a few years ago.My only reason for selling is that I have purchased an Audi convertible.
