Vehicle Detail
2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie w/ Herrin Hauler Flatbed HO Engine 128K Miles Just relisted, for the potential buyer couldn't come up with the funds. I'm not going to throw the guy under the bus, but if you don't have the funds, please don't bid. This listing is for a really nice clean 2004 Dodge Ram 3500. I purchased this truck in Texas 3 years ago and it had 119K miles. We were using this in our generator business to haul small generators and such, but when we decided to quit building custom generators and went for factory units that are dropped shipped to the customer locations, this truck pretty much has sat idle. We still use it from time to time to haul small items, but our business has changed and it is hard to justify just sitting around. This truck is a pretty unique looking, Chariot style Western Hauler, especially being in the Eastern US. You can look up Herrin on the internet and they are in Kilgore, TX. I had a custom made plate that we powder coated to sit over the 2-5/16" ball of the goose neck to allow more flatbed room. There is an additional electrical trailer plug under this cover. The bed measures 83" across (rail to rail) and 96" from the front to the back. The bed is also tapped for a 5th Wheel, so if hauling an RV, the mounting holes are already in place. All of the tool boxes are in good shape and the Stainless locks and handles all operate correctly. There is an additional plate we had made in the front, for putting our magnetic company sign on. It can be removed. The two spot lights work and helps while backing up in the dark. I personally never hauled a trailer with this truck. I was able to mount the spare under the vehicle and it is secure. When they put the hauler bed on they had to modify the factory tire hanger, so you pop the far right running light lens out to raise and lower it. The factory jack and handle are all under the passenger seat as it was from the factory. I put an additional ratchet strap under the tire just for additional security and to keep it from wobbling around. The bed was Rhino Lined and it does have scratches, small chunks of the liner missing and could probably use another coat. We used it to haul stuff on so we did get the use out of it. The bed was repainted and there is some very minor surface rust on the underside and around some edges. A few items that have been done since I purchased this are, new tires, brakes, water pump, belt, window rain guards, darken headlights and cab lights, took the truck to have the Bosch governor and solenoid in the transmission changed, added the Dodge windshield heat deflector. When I first bought the truck I looked underneath and it looks like the rear end was changed out. For everything under the truck was dusted from the West Texas caliche and the rear end was black. The listing has been updated to reflect the following: On 08/16/08 I added two new group 65 batteries. The old batteries were fine, but they were 4 years old so I replaced them.I also went down and picked up a remote and had it programmed. The door locks work fine now and I connected the horn back up so the security system is good to go and the new owner will get the OBD programmer which will do up to 3 more remotes. I have several Wix 33585XE fuel filters and I replaced one while I was under the hood and the remaining two are in the console. The oil still has 4K miles left to go on it, for I changed it out last year. When I was in town I filled it up to the brim with fuel, which will get you roughly 450 miles down the road. Both seats are powered and heated, cruise, a/c, heater, windows, locks mirrors all work well. The truck drives really nice and tracks straight. The engine with only 128K miles runs really well and as you will notice it has a large exhaust, so it is loud taking off. Once you get rolling the noise goes down, but it is louder than a normal stock truck. This is the 325HP Version with no CAT. When you turn on the Infinity Stereo system you will barely even hear the truck. The controls are on the back side of the steering wheel to change the CD track, volume etc. As far as the body is concerned, it is very clean with no bondo whatsoever. A few small items I will point out is towards the passenger right fender under the Cummins emblem, there is a small little ding and below the RAM 3500 emblem / under the chrome strip on passenger door another one. On the roof there is a very small area that has a little ding and on the passenger fender of the bed another one. There maybe a few others, but you have to look really hard for them. There are no deep scratches, but you will see some minor scratches and swirls if you look closely. The door rubber is in really good shape, but there is some wear and tear towards the bottom of the drivers door where you put your foot to get in. The seats are really nice, with no ripped leather or separation of the seams. There are a couple of spots of red in the front portion of the interior. Hardly noticeable, but they are there. Headliner, dash, door panels and carpet are in great shape for the age and I put in new floor mats after I purchased it. One rear headrest is missing and I beleive the previous owner removed it to see his goose neck while hooking up. The truck has two sets of keys, and one remote. It does have a Navigation system, but it is the older style which uses the CD type. There is the Western US disk, but I never tried it knowing the disk is more than likely out dated and just use my personal Garmin. A few interested buyers asked me the following questions since relisted, which I responded to their request. "What is the reserve price?" There is no reserve. Had I gone that route on this site I would have had to jack the price up by 30% for a buy it now. If you want to snipe it at the end, or find me on the web, the price is $21,995.00. "Can I fly in and you provide transportation to get this truck after I buy it?" Once the truck is paid for in full, I will meet you at the Atlanta airport and save you 100 miles round trip to Loganville and you can drive it away from the Atlanta Airport. I cannot publish my number here, but our company is easy to find on the internet if you just look for our name: Georgia On-Site Power LLC. You will see my number if you want to speak with me about this or need more pictures my name is Mike. This truck is located in Loganville, GA 30052 and is listed as local pick up only. I will help load on a car hauler and you are more than welcome to send an inspector here for a second opinion if needed. This had a clean Car-fax when I purchased and this has never been damaged since I have owned this in the past 3 years. The truck originally came out of the Abilene area to the best of my knowledge. This truck is for sale locally and the listing will be dropped here if it sells. This is a Non-DEF engine and is about as reliable as they come. Sorry to be so long winded on this listing, but I just wanted to cover all bases and if you need more info, all you have to do is ask. Many thanks for hanging in here reading this full description and viewing this Dodge Truck.
