Vehicle Detail
Up for auction or sale is my 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC Coupe. This has been a family car since it was purchased for my mother in 1996 at Miramar Lincoln Mercury here in San Diego. It has been a San Diego car its whole life and has never been registered outside of California. It has been taken care of for its entire life. It had been garaged for most of its life until my mother gave up driving a few years ago at 91 years of age. There are a few imperfections in the car as you can see in the pictures. The right rear of the rear bumper was grazed in a parking lot and it scraped the paint off. I was quoted at 300 dollars to repaint the whole bumper in the original shade of White Pearl. The drivers seat has a rip/tear in it from the California sun and the center Lincoln Emblem had fallen out also. I have another good emblem in the same shade that needs to be sewn in. I am not doing any of these things since I have spent enough money on this car for now. In the last years I have replaced: Master Brake Cylinder, front brake calipers with new ceramic pads, rear brake calipers with new metallic pads, Coolant overflow tank, all of the coolant hoses and that includes radiator, heater and bypass hoses. New water pump, new fuel injectors, new Ford brand cam position sensor, and Ford brand crankshaft position sensor, new Autolite spark plugs. Rebuilt the IMRC sensors and installed all new intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets. The car was converted to springs by my father a couple of years back when the air bags started to fail. I also have the original plastic engine cover that I will install, or put in the trunk. The tires have at least 85% of tread left and are all matching brand. Radiator is just about a year old as is the battery. New alternator within the last two years also. The original HID headlights still work perfectly as you can see in the picture. The A/C was serviced and blows ice cold. Everything works on this car. The sunroof works perfectly. The windows go up and down very fast. I still have one working remote (the other broke years ago). I did have to change the ignition cylinder lock when the original key would not work anymore, so it has a new ignition cylinder lock with a new ignition key. The keypad on the drivers door works fine. Rear defroster works fine. Car has an enormous amount of power. When you are getting on the entrance to the freeway and step on it you are doing 80 to 90 by the time you get to the freeway. The engine is a detuned version of the Mustang Cobra engine used in the Cobra Mustangs. All in all it is a very nice car and I would not hesitate to drive it any distance. I have driven it to Los Angeles quite a few times with no problems at all. There is no check engine light on and the car will be smogged if the buyer is from California. If you have any question feel free to contact me. I have set a very low reserve on this car and someone is going to get a nice car for a very low price. 300 dollars is expected by the winning party within 48 hours of end of auction with the rest within 7 days. I can help with transport if that is necessary. This does not mean I will transport the vehicle. It means I will be available to be here when the transport truck arrives to pick up the vehicle. The car has a clear title in my name. I have excellent feedback with 0 negative feedback. I would like to keep it that way. Thank you and happy bidding. On Aug-06-18 at 09:00:16 PDT, seller added the following information:
