1979 Honda CBX first year model. 1047 cc. 103 HP Superbike that was the fastest production bike in 79. Honda artfully fit a six cylinder monster motor in framework which was only slightly larger than a CB 750. This bike recently went through a professional $1000 re-paint in Candy glory red. Correct pinstripe kit was applied and cleared over for durability. Brand new metal Honda tank badges purchased but not yet applied.Upper overhead cam cover re- chromed to accent the six cylinder engine. Original exhaust and mufflers are in excellent condition. Custom Handel bars affixed,original bars retained and go with sale. Low profile blinkers added,have originals that were removed. Seat cover is original and free from holes or rips.Comstar rims and tires are in great shape with low miles on rubber. Previous owner was a professional Honda mechanic for thirty five years, maintained bike with a high degrees care. Its ready to enjoy riding or showing. Seeking new project only reason for sale.
