1998 Porsche Boxster condition: used odometer: 10 title status: clean I'm selling my Porsche Boxster EV Electric car. This is an exotic electric with 75 mile range and top speeds over 100mph. This was a proof of concept prototype built by a technology startup for high end electric vehicles. All of the emissions and title work are complete so this is registered as an electric vehicle and is already eligible for an alternative fuel vehicle tag in Georgia.I've had it out on the track at Atlanta Motor Speedway and it handled very well. I have over $45,000 invested just in the parts and hundreds of hours in labor.The Lithium battery packs need to be replaced so the car needs new batteries to run. This vehicle must be picked up no later than August 6.1998 Porsche Boxster converted to electric drive.Has: * 32KWh of LiFePO4 batteries onboard (Thundersky 100Ah cells)* eLithion BMS to monitor and report each cell* Manzanita Micro 40A charger (capable of charging in 3 hours at full speed) -- to a standard NEMA 14-50 (Stove Outlet)* J1772 adapter so you can charge at commercial Class 2 chargers* MES-DEA Induction motor, capable of 350 ft lb stall torque, and 100 KW - liquid cooled for performance* Re-generative braking in addition to the normal hydraulic systems* Custom bracket that supports existing systems:- Power steering- Alternator for house battery- Air conditioner (though that doesn't work because the Boxster computer thinks the car is not running)* Traction wiring is done via double-shielded 00 gauge cable with proper deoxy coating and torques.* USB monitoring of the traction motor using the MES-DEA software* USB connection to the eLithion BMSHere is a short video of the shakedown run right after the drivetrain was complete.
