1978 Toyota Celica GT Liftback 5-Speed With 90K+ Original Miles. This was the top of the line Celica for 1978. Standard features include Toyota's very reliable 20R 2.2 liter 4-cylinder SOHC motor with RWD, power steering, power brakes, cruise, AC, 5-speed transmission, remote hatch and gas filler release, and full size spare. Alloy wheels (including spare) are from early 80s Toyota Supra, BF Goodrich tires are recent with low mileage. Long time California car with very clean body and undercarriage. Paint is considered to be driver quality, interior is clean with only light wear. - Mostly ding-free, straight body and undercarriage - Glass is mostly excellent except for very small chip in windshield - Very nice interior, seats may have been reupholstered - 5-speed shifts well up and down - Engine runs strong and does not smoke, car can be driven anywhere - Recent oil change - No engine or transmission leaks - Top of dash is shot due to sun exposure, currently has fabric cover, dash caps available - Engine has rough idle most likely due to improperly installed vacuum hoses, could use professional tuning - AC works but needs recharge - Tach and dome light not working, horn works sometimes - Oil sensor currently unconnected, just needs replacement wire - No radio, a few other small things No reserve auction. This car would be a great daily driver or a candidate for full restoration, very hard to find with body/glass/interior in this condition with relatively low miles.
