Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a RARE 1964 ½ Ford Mustang Coupe. This car has the original 289 210hp engine that runs great. The transmission is the original manual 4 speed. The wheels are 5 lug with 9" rear-end with nice tires. I’ve driven this car about 10 miles with no problems. The interior, glass is in very good condition also has a new gas tank and wiring harness. This car comes with a lot of new emblems and new truck cover. This car needs body work. Every piece of body panel needed for restoring this car can be purchased. It has both new driver/passenger full length floor pans (poorly installed). Based on the document found in the car. There was a transmission rebuilt kit purchased 10/20/09. The transmission does look clean as if its been rebuilt. The shifter was also purchased at the same time. Here is a list of what I can see the car needs: Radiator Support with Cross member Front Frame Rails Diver/Passenger Front Valance Quarter Panels Driver/Passenger Taillight Panel Rear valance Truck Floor Kit (CJ’s Pony Part# TFK1) This car is being sold as a restoration project AS IS. This is a running driving car. Please ask all questions before bidding. Theirs a nonrefundable $500.00 deposit due immediately at auction end. Happy Bidding! Early Mustangs had their own lineup of engines, such as the 260 2V. The 170ci Falcon six with four main bearings was standard. The 164hp 260; 210hp 289 4V, low-compression; and the 271hp 289 Hi-Po, which first appeared in June 1964, were optional.
