We purchased truck in 2010 with about 60k miles from the Village of Wheaton in Illinois. It has an interesting history in that after a couple of years of service at the Village it was converted into the DARE to keep kids off drugs show truck (see last picture). That explains the low mileage and good condition. We purchased it to keep at the lake house and used for local errands and putting the boats in and out of the lake at the beginning and end of the season. Maybe trips to and from home a few times a year. But it mostly sat in the garage. Now at just about 78,000 miles. We have a well documented maintenance history which shows that the truck was kept in top shape. When something went wrong we sent it in to get fixed. So it is ready for service. It is a truck and it is 17 years old and is in very good shape but there are plenty of little scuffs. We did not have the car detailed or touched up so what you see is what you get. The running boards were just sanded and repainted as they had developed some rust. It seems to me a lot of these Rangers and Explorers that I see have this problem. The tires were purchased in 2011 and they only have 16,000 miles on them and still look like new. It runs and drives great. 4x4 works flawlessly. It has the 4.11 Posi and it can really pull. Never had a problem moving or pulling anything on any surface. Pretty much everything works as it should. It has two covers for the bed, the camper cover that is on the truck and a Lear tonneau cover. When we bought it the tonneau cover was on it but we took it off and put the camper top on it. Way more practical. The tonneau cover comes with it but it's in SW Michigan so it will have to be picked up there if you want it. Otherwise it just comes with the camper top that is on it.
