Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] Up for sale with NO RESERVE is this very original 1973 CB450 Barn Find Rider that I recently acquired and brought back to running condition. This bike is a very early 1973 model constructed in 8/72 with matching numbers. The VIN on the frame is CB450-6002404 and the engine is CB450E-6002414.The Honda CB450 had a 444 cc DOHC twin with dual CV carbs and was rated at 53 HP. They developed a reputation for excellent engineering and reliable electrics which created a loyal following in the US. Featuring electric start, a 5-speed transmission and disc front brake, they were quite advanced at the time.This bike is still finished in the original Tyrolean Green Metallic paint. There are some scratches, dents and other patina that we have pointed out in our photo presentation as well as a tear in the seat that has been repaired.The carbs were just cleaned and set by a highly skilled local Honda tuner and the fuel tanked cleaned by a tumbling process to remove any rust or residue. We installed a new battery and did a fresh oil change. The master cylinder was replaced and that is about all that was needed to get this classic CB450 back to life. It is riding on older tires that hold air and not showing any dry rot but probably should be replaced soon due to age.The bike starts easily, runs strong and shifts nicely. The clutch action is light and has a good feel. All the lights and signals are working properly as well. This bike is a good rider with some cosmetic issues that we have tried to point out in the embedded YouTube video as well as the extra large still photos posted below. We have a clear PA Title in my name ready to transfer to the new owner. The winning bidder can arrange for pick up at my facility in New Stanton PA 15639 which is where I-70 intersects with I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike). We can accommodate shippers for pick up on a 24/7 basis. If help is needed finding a shipper for delivery in the eastern half of the US we have a local trucker that is reasonable and responsible that we can recommend.
