Bought the 01' S8 in New Jersey (drove to Louisville no problems), this one even has the factory Audi in dash navigation (w/ screen) head unit (super rare), have always wanted one of these, it has not disappointed, truly love the rowdy Audi... The transmissions, if you are familiar with Audi automobiles, are a weak spot for them with age, was driving fine (a little jumpy and on occasion or would go into fail safe mode), then as of yesterday, started going into safe mode almost every time while driving (R + 5th work fine), I fear probably requires this major (yet common) service repair: http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=46685 (cost is around $1,500) The thought process most consider at this point is to either have all properly repaired and keep, or sell to another who will appreciate (this specific model clearly worth best efforts), also requires brake pads (rotors seem fine, all still quiet and tight when braking, yet warning light on), all power options work properly, factory key fob key less alarm works perfectly, all windows and vehicle options etc VIN# WAUGU54D81N010712 (241k miles) *was informed from dealership where purchased replaced engine with brand new at 210k miles (they originally sold to previous owner of 10 years), suspension and tires are ok Experienced owner of several prior German maker vehicles (100% feedback from all sold on Ebay as well over last 15 years), would be glad to discuss, it is currently still drive-able in safe mode (only reverse and 5th gear), this is such a fun, interesting, awesome vehicle when running properly, I hope is purchased by someone who appreciates how rare and marvelous https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqVOlZzptKo&t=1s Asking $2,500.00 or best offer Please call or text (502-744-6399) Thanks
