Vehicle Detail

If you searched for an '83 Honda Magna V65, then you know what you're seeing here; the world's first power cruiser. This bike is not for beginners. It is powerful and agile. I wanted one since '83 and finally got it in 2015 - thirty five years later. And it does not disappoint. This one is ready to ride. I've had extensive work done on the carbs and intake system this year, as well as a new back tire and (both fortunately and unfortunately) a new paint job. Give it a little choke when you start, and by the time you get your helmet and gloves on, it will be ready to run out from under you. I've never had any transmission issues. It actually shifts nicer than a lot of newer bikes. It doesn't slip out of 2nd gear, which was an issue with this year and model. The metal and chrome show their age, but aren't dented or dinged. The painted areas and decals are as good as new. The seat is not torn. In order to remove a nasty dent from the gas tank, I removed it and had a body shop take the dent out and repaint it. This may be a deal-breaker for any Magna purist, but they couldn't match the original Honda Pearl Siren Blue paint, so they came as close as they could. It is a gorgeous navy, but it's not original. I had them paint the side covers, as well, for a good match. The bike looks great. While all the work was being done this Spring, I borrowed a large touring bike from a friend, and, what with being old and fat, I got spoiled to the comfy saddle and protective faring. And the wife did, too. We're going to get something bigger. But I've been riding the Magna, and its strength and agility are still loads of fun. Just not as practical for us old folks. I still have the magazine ad from 1983 for this bike. The caption says, "Zero to 65 faster than you can read this." This bike is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.On Jun-20-18 at 06:22:34 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jun-20-18 at 06:32:19 PDT, seller added the following information: The mileage listed in the item description is incorrect.
