RELISTING DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER.VERY RARE 2005 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE GXP FOR SALE Less than 4200 of these cars were produced by GM. Even fewer had the tri color pearl paint like the one selling here. The car runs very well and has a long service history. However, the odometer was apparently tampered with by the previous owner. As such I do not know the exact mileage. The title is clear, but has an EXEMPT note for the odometer. I am assuming there is at least 100,000 more miles on the car than the odometer shows. I am selling the car with the assumption that the real mileage is around 242,000. That said, there is still a lot of life left in this car is has some mechanical and cosmetic issues which I will outline below. THE GOOD --- THE BAD --- AND THE UGLY: First the Good: I have many of the service receipts. Around the 160k mile mark, it broke 6 head bolts. The motor was pulled, new studs installed, oil pan cleaned and everything checked. Has gone 80k miles since with no leaks or issues. The original Northstars were known for this issue and the repair kit used was the recommended update. Seat heaters, 12 disc CD Monsoon stereo, power seats, cruise, power windows and locks, etc are all in working order. Factory spare and jack as well as spare belts are included. I am including both summer and winter floor mats and the original GM service manuals. The car has aftermarket remote start. Front brakes and discs as well as front wheel bearings were replaced about 1 year ago. The plugs, all the ignition coils were replaced at 235k miles and the fuel injectors were all pulled and cleaned at the same time. A compression check was done and the results from #1-8 were 185/190/175/185/185/185/205/175psi. These are all within factory specs. The Bad: A/C quit. Had replaced both the evaporator and compressor about 3 years ago. Holds a charge and compressor makes pressure, but no cold air. Not sure why. Dash warning light for an emission air pump is on. Mechanic told me it does not affect performance. The low coolant warning comes on from time to time. The sensor is bad for the tank. It is never low on coolant. Same warnings for the gas cap off and recalibrate the compass. All of these are nuisance items. None affect the performance of the car. The tires are on their last season and should be replaced before winter. The seat memory position seems to have Alzheimers. It never goes back to the right spot. The fog lamps do not work. The Ugly: The windshield is cracked. Tried to get a picture, but hard to show up. Runs top to bottom, full length. I took pictures of the front and rear bumpers. Both have been bumped and the paint is spider webbed and starting to flake off. The paint is in very good shape for a car of this age and mileage. I typically clay bar the paint every 3-4 months. It is due again, but someone else’s turn. This has been a very fun car to drive. It seems to have a lot of life left in it for someone who is willing to put the needed TLC in this very unique ride. It is sold as-is, where is. No warranty. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction and must be picked up within one week of sale unless agreed upon in advance. I have tried to list everything I can about this car so you can make an informed decision.LOCAL PICK UP OR YOU ARRANGE SHIPPING ONLY, BUT MUST MEET TIME LINE LISTED.
