This is an amazing find that has been passed down from one generation to the next but is now going to start with another family. My father can no longer drive and I am way to busy to enjoy this car so we both thought it would be best to find someone that will drive it and take them back to their youth. 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertilbe. It came with the hard top but I also spent over $3k having a soft top made at Edlo Auto Trim on an original frame. My father also struggled to push the brake pedal hard enough with the manual brakes so I sent the car out and had 4 wheel power assist disc brakes installed and they moved the battery into the truck. The car is a 3 speed with overdrive. The exhaust pipes do run below and not through the bumper fyi. The seats are electric 4 way and quit working but im sure a quick fix. This car has been in a heated garage since as long as I know and never driven in the rain. The doors need some adjustment and the paint isn't perfect but its great for its age. I will try to answer any questions you have and I just looked up 1955 t-birds on here and saw that after a day there are some rough cars that are well over what my reserve is so good luck. Its a prior california car as you can tell when you get the car in the air. The full power brake setup makes the car stop like a new car today. This car is a car you can buy and just go and drive and enjoy it. $5000 was spent on it in the last few years converting it to full power brakes and the new soft top to go along with the hardtop. Its already close to reserve. I think this car is worth mid 20s and the reserve is well under $20k so don't miss out on this one.
