1966 Thunderbird HT This 1966 Thunderbird is a beautiful car which is a very comfortable and classy driver. It has been well maintained and garaged since I bought it 30 years ago. It has its original Thunderbird 390 V8 engine, & C6 automatic transmission. The engine was detailed to look like new for show about 20 years ago, and still looks very good but it could use a little freshening again for show purposes. The car has 4 White Wall Radial tires for better handling and a smoother ride. It has factory original power brakes with front discs and rear drums. The break lines have been replaced with Stainless Steel. for added safety and lower maintenance I converted the break fluid to DOT5, (attainable at Walmart), from the standard DOT3 which draws moisture and rust. (The two fluids are not compatible.) I added an electric fuel pump for added dependability. The interior is all original and in excellent condition, no cracks or tears, with very little wear. (see photos) It has a standard AM radio. Included is a factory AM 8 track Stereo and speakers which I have never installed. The drivers seat is 4-way power, and the passenger seat is a full recliner with adjustable headrest. You will notice in the pictures of the Ivy Gold interior that different lighting gives the interior different greenish-goldish hues. The T-Bird has a brand new trunk liner and hood pads installed. The car is a very good driver, but since I don't drive it anymore, someone needs to take her out and exercise her. Cars were not made to be driven not stored.This “Bird has been well maintained and kept in a garage continually for the past 30 years.The windshield has one rock chip in the drivers lower left corner, (see photo) which has never been a bother to me, but I have a good spare windshield that I was going to put in for the show field. All the other glass is perfect. The 8 track, the windshield, 3 extra hubcaps and other spare parts plus some original literature, and a shop manual are also included.Unfortunately, the sequential turn signals have quit functioning. My wife says that since we don’t drive it, we aren’t going to get them fixed. Therefore, I have reduced the price from $11,000 to $10,000.
