Vehicle Detail
To previous bidders: we had made an error in the listing so we have had to relist it,we're sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused. It has nothing to do with themotorcycle but purely the listing details. THE MOTORCYCLEMany know the story of the first Superbike: when Mr. Soichiro Honda started a 4cylinder revolution back in 1969, with his “King of Motorcycles”. It was the bikethat changed motorcycling. That CB750 featured a transverse in-line 4 cylinder 736cc engine, that produced67 horsepower, and a top speed of 125 miles per hour. It also came with anelectric starter and a disc brake! The first 7000 or so CB750s that came off the factory assembly line in Japan backin 1969, had engine cases that were cast in sand. Those scarce early sandcast CB750s now regularly command high prices amongstcollectors around the world. This bike has frame number 2499 and engine number 2661. It has been fullyrestored by Vic World of World Motorcycles in San Francisco. It is perfect down tothe very last detail and still hasn’t been started or driven after its restoration, so itis completely pristine. We contacted Vic since we learned that he was the guy to get in touch with when itcomes to Sandcast CB750's. Our own main focus has always been smaller Yamaha125cc bikes which we restore ourselves. As such we haven't messed with the restorationand the motorcycle is still untouched after we received it from Vic. It has been one of the cornerstones of our motorcycle museum here in Sweden. We haveover 70 motorcycles and have worked hard to keep them in perfect condition and inperfect conditions to make sure they last without any deterioration. (google Yamaparts tofind more pictures of the motorcycle and an unboxing video of when it arrived as well as pictures of other bikes in our museum). The bike is located in Sweden and all the European import duties have been paid. However it is still on its US registration papers so it is an easy process to register itin whichever country you’re located.
