You are viewing and bidding on a Bright Red 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle in GLS Trim . ** NO RESERVE ** I bought this car as a spare two years ago from a local dealer. I have used it infrequently since that time however I have added four new tires, two new VW keys for a total of three keys and a new VW Battery (over $1,000 in improvements and repairs, I have the receipts which will ship with the car). This is a great little 5-Speed manual car 'the peoples car' that starts and runs strong every time. Super fun to drive. This car was delivered new and has been in Southern CA since and the quality of the paint demonstrates this. The car has been well cared for an has been in my climate controlled garage since I have owned it. For it's age - 16 years it has low mileage 127,000 miles or about 7,800 per year. This would be a great car for a new driver or someone interested in learning to drive a standard transmission car. Options Include: Luxury Package ($1,225) Power Sunroof which works and does not leak, Power Windows and Door Locks, 16" Alloy Wheels, Cold Weather Package (Heated Seats) and Monsoon Sound This car is 16 years old and there are a few minor issues due to age and use. These include: There is a scratch on the passenger side front bumper, it does not bother me and would be an easy repair. While there are no rips in the interior the front seats could use a fresh clean and maybe a leather / vinyl dye to restore the color - there is some staining here, please review the photos in detail. One of the common issues with these early beetles is the immobilizer system that was introduced in 2001. This car has the immobilizer disabled which means there is a yellow light on the dash indicating this. The LED could easily be removed or even covered over with tape. Car starts, runs and drives well with no issues. There are no other issues or concerns with this car that I am aware of - it is an 8 out of 10 for sure and much better than other 2002 models you will see. The car can be shipped at your expense and eBay provides tools and options for this but it will not be released until funds clear.
