"When I placed my order for a C7 Z51 I began my research for which shop was going to build what I still feel like Bowling Green should have built. This would be a Naturally Aspirated 427 with a Road Race suspension, aero, brakes, wheels, and tires. Needless to say there is plenty of power with no or minimal heat soak after a one hour stint. I find it interesting that Chevy has finally admitted the soak problem with the Z car. Read September or October Vette. I also wanted someone who was capable of doing everything in house, this left Lingenfelter, Katech and MTI Racing. I had conversations with all in great detail. Long story short I chose MTI, due to the fact that Reese Cox is a Mechanical Engineer and one Hell of a driver (read his bio). Not only was he an engineer on the C5R but he has also worked with some of the top names in motorsports. He and his crew exceeded my expectations. The car is street able and would be a BEAST on the track. The power is 99 percent of what anyone would ever need in a RR car. It really is apparent in the mid-range, the pull is equivalent to a true race car! One could even compare the car to a cheetah that can run indefinitely. It goes, stops, and sits down at speed. After all the months of driving it, the car is incredibly visceral and never fails to put a smile on my face. I’m a proud member of a Corvette club, which consists of gentlemen that all own Vette's and continue to own some of Europe's best exotics cars. They agree I have a “One of a Kind” car and nothing is comparable. I drove to pick-up my car with my H & H hauler. That day ended up being more than I could have ever hoped for. I arrived at MTI and was greeted by Nick Craig, who had been spot on with all the details of a new platform build. It was not an easy task when we were helping suppliers ramp up for the C7. Nick became a good friend through this process; thanks Nick. Then I was led into the part of the shop where Roman (shop foreman) was putting final touches on the detailing of my car. As I was admiring the car Reese had walked in, where he and Roman started answering in great detail, all of my technological questions. It was a pleasure to speak with men that understood what I was asking. After a shop tour Reese and I then went for a ride, during which he explained all the nuances of this machine. I met in Dawsonville at EEI (Ernie Elliot International); what a shop and what great people. Big thanks to Ernie and his crew for all their hard work on my engine. Reese built my engine at EEI, which was an honor knowing all the winning engines that were assembled there. Ernie sure knows how to make heads flow! That is what it’s all about air in and air out. This car is a race car in street clothes!!! As you might guess, nothing but the best was used! HERE IS A LINK FOR THE VIDEO https://youtu.be/knSmWco_EkY CALL OR TEXT ANYTIME ROBERT 214-680-8128
