Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a one of a kind/survivor truck which is very difficult to find this original, honest, and untouched, Found sitting on a farm in Arkansas under the longtime owners/Grandma's shed where people have been trying to buy it for years is this 1953 Chevrolet 3100 series 1/2 ton short wheel base pickup truck that her husband bought back in the late 50's, This was Grandpaws pride and joy that he enjoyed driving to the local tractor supply and hardware store, The first 3 pictures were taken with the truck wet and gives a good indication of how straight the body is, 98% rustfree and appears to be original in all ways with the exception of the engine which is a 1956 235ci engine, 3 speed manual transmission shifts on the column, Runs, drives and stops however this truck has sat untouched since 2005 and it would probably be a good idea to give it a good checkover before driving on a daily basis, Still on 6 volt, (Grandpaw misplaced the battery cover however LMC truck parts and accessories carries them), Straight/solid body, Never dented and/or beaten all up, Factory blue truck and much of the blue paint on this truck appears to be the original, Some minor surface rust, The cab corners, door bottoms, and fenders are very solid, Frame and floor is solid as well, The hood, both doors, and the tailgate open and close with ease, Nice body gaps, Wood floor in the bed is old and appears to be original to the pickup, Original interior never butchered or hacked up, Original wheels, hubcaps and old type tires, Spare tire and wheel still intact under the truck, All original glass is good, Never wrecked, rawhided, or abused and never subjected to salty roads or climates, Southern truck it's entire life, Overall a neat truck to cruise to your local carshow/car cruise in, Bigtime cool factor and people simply love this "little old truck", Rare opportunity and a great investment that will only increase in value and won't last long, This is an original short bed truck and not a cut down longbed, 65 year old pickup truck therefore it isn't perfect but on the other hand it's the way I like to find these trucks honest, original, and mostly untouched, A set of wide whitewall tires would set this truck off, Great father/son/daughter project truck to tinker with and leave as original? Restore? Hot Rod? Rat Rod? ShopTruck? Bagged lowrider? Patina build? Many possibilities with this one, I do have a personal delivery driver on hand for quick delivery @ $1.00 a loaded mile that can have the truck to you with the quickness if you choose to do it that way, Feel free to contact Paul at 901-219-9569 with any questions, If no answer please leave a detailed message and I will return your call, Bidders with zero/less than 10 positive feedback must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid/bids, Bank wire transfer preferred for payment as it is the quickest and safest method of payment for both the buyer and the seller, If you cannot follow our payment instructions please look elsewhere, (Sold in as-is condition with a clean clear title which has already been applied for and will be arriving soon), As long as the truck is paid for it can stay at our place/inside our barn until arrangements are made to pick it up or have it delivered, Thanks again for looking and bidding. NADA price guide below soars to over $72k for this type truck completely restored. Note: Our buy it now price includes delivery up to 500 miles. 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Prices and Values Pickup 1/2 Ton Values Original MSRP Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price">Original MSRP Low Retail Value This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning.
