Vehicle Detail
True vintage classic that has come out of storage. It had been sitting for over 20 years with 2.2K original miles. I recently purchased this barn find from the second owner. I believe everything on it is original except for the carbs which could not be salvaged. They were replaced and synced with the original Amal period correct carbs. Also had a full tune up and fluids serviced. It fires right up and runs great. It is ready to hit the road as is but I would replace the tires as they are the original and have some dry rot on the sides as would be expected. They hold air fine but should not be trusted at high speeds in my opinion. You can still see the nubs on the original tires in the one of pictures. I have tried to represent it well in the pictures. As you can see one side of the tank's paint has minor issues from what looks like gas eating part of the paint. I didn't want to redo it to maintain it's authentic patina. Also there are other small minor imperfections as you would imagine. The front turn signal stocks and holders are pitted and should be addressed. The left one is tilting down in the picture because I forgot to tighten the nut after detailing. They are both functional but cosmetically challenged. There is light pitting on the headlight. The foot pegs have some dry rot and probably should be replaced. The bushings on the handlebars have some play from dry rot also. It's a beautiful bike. I have only put about 3 miles on it since the cleanup just to verify that it shifts smoothly through the gears etc after all the service that has been done. It runs like a champ. I would recommend a viewing prior to purchase with any vintage vehicle. I'm happy to arrange that. Also ask any questions prior as there will be no returns, refunds or exchanges. No warranty implied. Once payment received in full, I will help domestic or international buyer deal with shipping if picked up on site. I can deliver to shipping company within Seattle area for a predetermined price if need be. Payment due within 3 days of auction end.
