1948 Pontiac convertible barn find Up for bid is a really nice 1948 Pontiac convertible. The car was parked in 1962 in a local barn/garage and has not seen the light of day since then. The garage was dry And the car was parked on a concrete floor. I did not get the car running, but the car does turnover. As you can see from the pictures, this is a very solid car and could be driven as a survivor car or it is the perfect candidate for a restoration. The floors are solid, the frame is solid, the trunk is solid, and pretty much every panel on the car is solid as well. I have a lot of original paperwork on this car. I have the owners manual, The chassis lubrication chart, The original owner instruction paper that was hanging on the radio, a convertible top manual, and the paperwork for the original Delco battery. There are also a couple of miscellaneous receipts for the work that was done to the car as well as the paper that was with the car when it was purchased in 1952 as a used car. The purchase price back then when the car was four years old was $1453. I have taken detailed pictures of the car and they pretty much tell the tale.
