Only 42,204 miles currently on this 1992 Mercury Capri xr2, convertible, featuring the 1.6 liter, factory turbo-charged, 4 cylinder power plant! This car has a brand new battery, is a blast to drive, and hugs the road like a go-cart! It comes with both the convertible soft top, and the rare hard top! It also comes with an extra set of rims which have a really nice set of radial tires on them with plenty of rubber left on them. This car was stored for many years, which accounts for the low mileage. The car can be used "as-is" and runs great...or is a great candidate for a restoration project, since all the pieces are here to make it a real show piece! What is NOT working on the car? The passenger headlight lift motor is not working. The light can be manually cranked up, but the electric motor or switch may need attention. The driver's side power window does not work. The power window motor or switch may need attention. The headliner on the hard top is sagging in areas. The air conditioning is not cold. I have not had the air conditioning looked at, but it may need attention....then again, it's a convertible, so do you really need air conditioning? The body is good, but it does have a couple dings here and there. The paint is faded on both bumpers, and the spoiler, and may need attention. The seats have been badly sun faded, causing cracking of the vinyl. The seats may need to be recovered to restore the car. I bought the car as a project to restore last year, but then Hurricane Irma came for a visit, and changed my plans a bit...I now have way more projects than I have time for.
