Up for sale is a beautiful 1977 Toyota FJ40. This truck went through a thorough and meticulous year long frame off restoration process that was completed in March of 2018. This vehicle was recently imported from South America where it spent its entire life thus far in a rust free environment. The vehicle is currently registered and will sale with a clean and clear GA Title and a Bill of Sale. This FJ went through in intense restoration process that involved disassembly of the entire vehicle. Components were then sandblasted and sanded down to bare metal and then primed and painted; in some instances powder coated. Other components such as nuts and bolts were chemically etched and then re-plated to restore its shine and durability. Components such as carburetor were completely rebuilt. Spark plugs and oil filter were replaced with Toyota components from the dealership. Clutch, rear main seals and bearings were replaced altogether, brakes were replaced and flushed. A new distributor cap, rotor and cables were installed as part of the engine work done. The engine was also gone through and components such as water pump, hoses and seals replaced. Valves were adjusted and cylinders were gone through for proper pressure and consistency. Transmission, differentials, transfer case and oils along with all fluids in the vehicle were checked and replaced. Both master and slave cylinders were also replaced along with most brake lines in the vehicle. Components such as front grille, headlights, turn signals and tail lights were replaced with brand new components. The water coolant reservoir was purchased online from a vendor that had restored the tank as well as the mount. Components such as weather-stripping, windows and door seals were all replaced throughout the entire car along with new shift knobs and boots. New emblems were also installed throughout the car. Suspension components were replaced or refreshed throughout the vehicle. A new fuel filter was also installed. A specialized electrician specializing in Toyota was hired to thoroughly check and install wiring harnesses to match factory wiring with yellow ends throughout the vehicle both in the engine bay, interior wiring and under body wiring toward rear electrical components of the vehicle. All seats were given to an upholsterer to completely reupholster all seats back to factory specs and colors to match all seams and lines throughout. The carpeting throughout the vehicle was handmade and stitched for this vehicle by the upholsterer as well. The rear backing to the seats along with the railings were adjusted and re-painted. The hard top on this vehicle is made out of fiberglass. A brand new spare tire was purchased and installed on the vehicle as well. All cushions/mounts between chassis and body were also replaced. New decals for components in the air box and interior were reproduced and installed as part of the restoration process.
