1949 CHEVROLET 3100 TRUCK. VIN 5GPD8148. This is a super nice strong truck restored to original specs. The original 216 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine has been rebuilt with many new parts that include; pistons, valves, oil pump, main bearings, rod shims, rebuilt carburetor, and fuel pump. The original column shift 3 speed transmission has been rebuilt with a new clutch and throwout bearing. The bed and front end was disassembled and the entire truck was repainted in red and black base coat, clear coat paint. It has 5 new wide white wall tires and new oak bed floor with new stainless steel bed strips. Fuel tank was replaced. Truck body is straight with no rust, and it has a new grill. Brakes have been overhauled with new master cylinder and 4 new wheel cylinders. Original six volt electrical system works well and has a new battery. Everything works great, even the vacuum windshield wipers! Starts, runs, and drives like it did in 1949; this is an excellent truck that will turn heads everywhere you drive.
