1988 CORVETTE - 3 OWNER / CLEAN TITLE / CARFAX / RECEIPTS Let me first start off by saying that this is NOT a flawless car. I will be as direct and honest about the car because I want you to be happy and know what you are bidding on. I don’t want to waste your or my time. PHONE: (323) 704 565 FIVE Up for sale is a beautiful 1988 Chevrolet corvette. It has 255 HP TPI 350 cu V8 with a good shifting 4 speed automatic 700R4 transmission. This has been my weekend driver for several years, but lately has been sitting in a garage. I have owned this car for 3 years. This is a CA car and has carfax dating back until 1992, which i will provide. Tons of receipts, dating back to 2006. Previous owner claimed that this is a Z51 car, since i have no RPO sticker, i cannot claim that it is, BUT the car does come with bilstein shocks that APPEAR original. Since I am moving out of state in a few weeks, I would prefer to sell it to another corvette enthusiast ( I had a few corvettes in the past). Currently the car doesn't cost me any money to keep, so if it doesn't sell, I will just put it back in storage. The car is RELIABLE and will be able to drive across the country without issues or overheating. I just replaced ALL OF THE FLUIDS and made sure the car idles well. Fan was wired to stay on all of the time by previous owner. TAGS: Currently the car is on NON op status and requires to be insured, smogged and registered to be driven. I have paid all of the fees on 10/18/2017 and therefore the car does not have any back fees or surprises.TEST DRIVE: Upon new owner picking the car up, i can go to AAA and request a one day moving permit if you wish so. The car has not been driven for 1 year but started periodically. ENGINE: As you can see in video, the car starts and runs good. The following work has been performed:Spark plugs w/ wires - 2016Thermostat - 2016Transmission filter with fluid - 2016BOSH injectors - 2016Throttle body gasket - 2016Coolant flush - 2016All of distributor parts - 2016Water pump - 2016Throttle position sensor (TPS) - 2016Alternator - 2016Battery - last week costcoHEAD GASKET W/ NEW HEAD - 2007smog pump - 2016drive belt - 2016fuel pump - 2015 (no receipt)EXHAUST: new o2 sensors - 2016new catalytic converters - 2007new y pipe - 2007BRAKES: Drilled/ slotted rotors w/ new ceramic pads - 2016BODY:complete weatherstripping - 2016rear struts for hatch - 2016TIRES: brand new by prev owner, same size all around (factory spec) RADIO: works fine, but its a cheap unit with adequate speakers that occasionally have a popping sound A/C: had work done in 2007 but currently needs freon and/or retrofit. FLAWS: body paint has a few imperfections as you can see in pictures, on the front, roof isnt as shiny as the rest of the car and needs buffing, small spot fading ( in video). Overall just needs a good detail, nothing majorTRANSMISSION PAN LEAK - there is a small leak from the back of the transmission pan from gasket not aligning properly, therefore the car accumulates about 10 drips per night. Transmission itself shifts fine and was inspected prior, and shows to be in great running conditiona few misc interior pieces have some cracks (common plastics, easily replaceable) weather stripping was replaced with brand new unit but unfortunately still lets some water in during HEAVY rain. But i keep the car in garage all of the time so i recently found that out. car drives straight with alignment performed in 2007 but steering wheel itself is turned SLIGHTLY to the left (never bothered me). in 2009 carfax shows that it was in a fender bender. Im ASSUMING it was a rear collision since paint looks more newer. Doesn't seem to have any issues, drive-ability wise.little things like cruise control chord just needs a little bracket to physically stay on the throttle body. That's all that comes to mind for now.
