RARE - ONE OF A KIND NO MECHANICAL ISSUES The 1953 Hudson Jet is a seldom seen automobile. The Hudson Jet was unveiled in December 1952 at the Hotel Aster in New York City. They were produced for only two years. This car was meant to closely mimic the 1953 Ford and it did. Some even insist it is a Ford. This car is ready to enjoy as is. It is a dependable motor car that will take you where you want to go at highway speeds. It starts instantly, every time. There is no shimmy or shake or pull to either side. I know of no mechanical issues. The brakes and clutch function properly. The engine is as quiet as a mouse. It idles perfectly. There is no smoke even on startup. There are no leaks. The headlights, tail lights, turn signals and even the license plate light works. Mechanical upgrades include complete carb rebuild, new points, condenser, and resistor, new coil, new fuel pump, new battery and intake manifold. This car always draws a crowd. This car is meant to enjoy just the way it is; ready for the road. It is finished in satin black with stunning, nice painted lettering down the sides, top and front. The hood is also nicely dressed, the “Stop Police” sure gets the comments. The red wheels with wide white walls add to and complete the car. This is a mechanically sound car.The interior is original, it shows wear common to a 64-year-old car. This adds to the mystery and history of this car. The dash is especially nice with clear gauges and original finish. Even the glove box is clean, showing close to new. Both the speedometer and odometer work. Open the hood and you will find a perfectly detailed engine and engine compartment. It is original - right down to the air cleaner. Show this one with pride. Nothing is cobbled up or missing. Everything is in place. Even with the hood open, the engine is whisper quiet. Call it what you like as it is in a category of its own. A true, reasonably priced, one only automobile. SHIPPING In order to provide you with the best protection for your purchased vehicle, it is secured in our heated storage facility the same day as it is sold. We require a minimum of 24 hours to remove your vehicle from storage and prep for delivery. You may do this by direct contact Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Vehicle pick up can only be made at the above listed times. TERMS AND CONDITIONS We require a $500 non-refundable deposit to be made within 24 hours of auction end and full payment within 7 days. Reserve prices are not disclosed. You are welcome to make your best offer at any time by bidding that amount. On rare occasions, a vehicle is sold before the auction ends and we reserve that right. If and when we stop an auction, it will only be done after payment is made. At times, trades are considered; however, this is seldom done as our reserves are below market value. We make no mileage claim on any vehicle 10 years old or older, even if the title states actual mileage. This complies with Michigan and Federal regulations.
