Here is a very nice example of the first year Toronado by Bill Mitchell and his design team at GM. Finished in a stunning Ocean Mist base clear coat original color with a matching turquoise cloth and vinyl interior. This is the car George Jetson would have driven lol...if you are looking you probably know that. Body and paint are near show quality with smooth orange peel free clear coat that was painstakingly cut and buffed by hand-good rust free western bones has been garage kept in my care-interior is 100% original-body overall is super straight and very nice. 425 V8 front wheel drive 425 Turbo Hydro Auto. This is the same car Jay Leno had converted to rear drive with 1000hp...stock it's 385 which was the highest of any Olds in it's day. A/C has been converted to R134a. I have the Protect-O-Plate and a bunch of service records from previous owner-I have owned for 3 years and driven 5000 miles with no major issues...headlights are vacuum and they are inconsistent so I only drive in daylight lol...everything else works great and she can still more than keep up on the highway. Top speed-no I haven't tested it-is 135 which was an absolute Rocket back in '66. Still turns heads every time I take it out! Clean clear NJ title. Call or text me with question and thanks for looking-Jett 6097601257 A few common questions I will address: 1. the car is a 1966 with a 1967 headlight assembly that has been modded by deleting the Olds Rocket logo and Oldsmobile script-1967 cars had egg crate grills and tail light treatments. The steering wheel and column are also a one year only unique design with tilt and telescope. You spin the center piece counter clockwise to loosen the tele feature, push or pull on steering wheel to adjust, and spin back clockwise to tighten back down-simple elegant and very cool...2. the interior is deluxe with manual windows and seat-not all of these were fully optioned-the deluxe interior gives you the split bench seat in cloth and vinyl as well as the drive-in rear door inside handles so you can easily let yourself out of the back seat nod nod wink wink...3. The reason the edelbrock air filter is on the car is the previous owner had a little chrome air filter on it-very 70's 80's open style-fortunately he kept the original one seen in the trunk-it is absolutely original not repainted in an incorrect color which you mostly see on these. I put on the edelbrock not because the carb is different-it's the stock quadra-jet, but the previous owner converted the car from points to HEI and the larger cap won't clear. I purchased a Pertrontic HEI distributor that will clear and will be included with the car-I just haven't messed with it as the car runs and performs so well as is.4. I am open to reasonable offers and dialog-weather permitting I am going to shoot a video of the car tomorrow Sunday 3-25-18 and will include a you tube video link if possible-I have tons of pics and if you are seriously interested in a particular close up contact me via phone or text for ease and speed of response.5. the exhaust tips are not stock but imho look way better-the exhaust is stock back to a crossflow true dual transverse Flowmaster stainless steel muffler with bullet glass packs right before the tips-very mellow but has a nice little 425 Olds Rocket rumble...6. My pricing is based on Haggerty condition 3 or good-NADA is actually higher-open to reasonable offers and partial trades for other cars with reasonable value along with cash-please call text or message me the worst thing I can do is say no thanks. Toronado's in this condition do not come around often and this car cannot be replicated from a project level car for anywhere near my asking price. If you pay someone to just do the body and paint-and then wet sand cut and buff that's real $ very quickly...
