1970 VW Volkswagen Double Cab Partly restored daily driver, starts on the first turn of the key, runs well - strong engine with about 35,000 miles on rebuild. Had it tuned for sale. It could go anywhere. Couple years ago it got new: brakes, front disc brakes, good tires, seats redone, new interior panels, fuel tank cleaned/hoses replaced, and had it repainted original. It looks great outside and inside. The interior lights, headlights, speedo, tail/backup lights, wipers, blinkers ... all work. The original clock on the dash does not work but could be fixed. The stereo is just there filling the original radio hole in the dash, no speakers or speaker holes were cut inside. Very fun to drive, gets a lot of thumbs up. Engine/Trans: 1600cc original single carb, original oil bath air cleaner. Recent tune-up included valve adjustment, oil change, oil bath air cleaner - cleaned, new distributor, and fuel filter. The original 4 speed transmission was rebuilt a while back by previous owner who had it for over 25 years. Transmission works well, no slipping or issues.
