Walt, I almost can’t bring myself to write this, but I’ve found someone else. Don’t cry. It’s not you, it’s me. And well, mostly poor timing. You’re great. I mean that. The 5 days we spent together were unforgettable.... You’ve changed me for the better. And I’ve changed your oil for the better. But that 1985 I had been eyeing came back up for sale after the buyer fell through. And well, she’s got a new transmission and all of the upgrades I was planning on giving you over time. And who am I kidding, I don’t have the time. Really, there’s nothing you could’ve done, it’s Westfalia divine intervention... I have to go with my gut on this one. I hope you can understand and that when we pass each other on the road one day, that we can smile at each other and honk our dorky horns, fondly remember our one weekend together and know that we are both exactly where we meant to be. You’ll always have a piece of my heart. My very first... Vanagon Camper. To Note: -Everything works...including the refrigerator! -Previous owner added a house battery and electrical system with relay for lights and radios. -The engine is a Porsche 914 with about 105-110 HP. Can maintain 70-75 on "Flat" highway...no wind...and positive thinking.... Just kidding. But seriously. The beauty of this engine is that it likes higher RPM, making it capable at high speed. -Exterior is original paint and has very few flaws. I will include more pics if asked. -Tent comes with the vehicle. -New upholstery -I'm currently installing new trim around the windows for a cleaner look...I care about the details. -Installing a new ignition -The vehicle is going Euro Motors in Auburn tomorrow to get a thorough inspection...call them for information FYI: the browning near the wheel wells is just mud from our trip that day. The exterior is in very good condition.
