Up for sale is my son's 2004 Stratus that has been impeccably maintained, and was a faithful and reliable transport for him during his time at College here in upstate New York. Although the car has significant highway mileage, the car was always maintained, had regular oil changes and was regularly serviced at Mavis for all maintenance and repairs. The only reason this very reliable car is being sold, is that my son has relocated with a new job in the NYC area, and has acquired a brand new SUV on a lease. This car's drive train is excellent, and the car always starts, and runs flawlessly. The vehicle has had a rebuilt transmission installed in it in 2015, less than 40k ago, and that paperwork will be transferred to the new owner. Although rebuilt and driving perfectly, and shifting flawlessly, the transmission is no longer under warranty. The engine purrs like a kitten, and has had a major tuneup, with all plugs, coils, and filters less than 12k ago, and burns nothing and leaks nothing and has passed a rigid NYS inspection for safety and emissions. Every aspect of this car electronically works to factory specifications, such as wipers, lights, radio, power windows, and blinkers. The AC blasts cold air, and the heat works intermittently, and this was noticeable recently in the severe cold winter when we were getting it ready for sale. My mechanic said it could be a sticking thermostat or heater control valve that works occasionally and then not. In the last 12 months the car had had new tires installed, on all 4 wheels, a new battery, a new water pump, coil packs, spark plugs, Brand new on all 4 wheels , brake pads, rotors and calipers, new anti freeze flush, 2 front wheel bearings and struts. Recently the car has had over $1500.00 in maintenance and suspension work, so the new owner will get the benefit of all this maintenance. As far as cosmetics, the pictures are clear in that the car has multiple dings and scratches but no rust, on or under the car, and the interior is in excellent shape and has no rips or tears. As stated before the tires are almost new and have 90% tread lifer left! All in all this is an excellent car and will be sold to the best and quickest offer. To cover administrative costs and paper work a $299.00 document and expediting fee will be assessed to the winning bid.
