Vehicle Detail
I sold these last year on eBay but the buyer never paid so I'm listing them again. Restore a Tiger, Build an Alger, Build a Restomod. Part them out. 1965 Sunbeam Tiger and 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. The Tiger was in an accident and the front end was wrecked. This is a major project to restore the Tiger but if you know anything about these cars you know the values are way up in recent years. Tigers are selling from $50,000 to over $100,000 so it would be worth the effort.A Sunbeam Alpine is included and appears to have everything except the original 4 Cylinder Alpine Engine. I believe most of that parts for both cars are included. See pictures for what comes with the sale. The link below takes you to my Amazon share site with 145 photos including the hundreds of parts that come with this deal. The Tiger drive train is all there but the engine needs a rebuild and the bell housing on the tranny needs to be replaced. There is a rebuild kit for the top-loader transmission included. The Tiger V8 260 engine would need a rebuild and the intake manifold has a crack and would need to be welded or replaced. There is also a chunk of the block that is broken off near where it connects to the bell housing. My understanding from researching this is it can be cold-welded and repaired. I don’t know a lot about the history of these specific cars. I bought them as a combined project but just don’t have the time to take on such a large restoration / build. Mileage on the Tiger reads 14,852 but it may have gone around once. Mileage on the Alpine reads 73,554. The Alpine has a clear, open North Carolina title. The Tiger has a New Jersey Salvage title. I can provide a notarized bill of sale and help with any other documentation needed.Alpine VIN SAL 614905Tiger VIN JAL 562429Click this link to see all the photos on my Amazon photo share: Sunbeam PhotosPlease feel free to ask any questions. The numbers that I listed as VIN #s are actually the body numbers. The VIN numbers are on a different plate in these Sunbeams. Photos of the VIN plates, and all the other plates I could find are in the photo share on Amazon that is linked to in my description. The further info that I was able to find based on the VIN #s are as follows: Red Tiger VIN is B9472863 LRXFEThis indicates it is a Mark I Tiger, Left Hand Drive Roadster with a Ford Engine (260 V8)Engine # on the VIN plate is 4171 F21KA (not sure what those codes mean)Color code on VIN plate is 58 Blue Alpine VIN is B395017257 LRXThis indicates it's a Series V Alpine, Left Hand Drive, RoadsterColor code on the VIN plate is 107 Hope that helps and thanks to everyone for the feedback. On Feb-15-18 at 06:11:41 PST, seller added the following information: Several people have contacted me regarding how to move / ship the Red Tiger. To make sure that everyone has the same info, I would be willing to do the following to make it easier. There are several rolling truck frames available on craigslist locally for around $300. For $200 to cover my time, gas, cost, etc. PLUS the cost of the frame, ratchet straps and any other minor incidentals, I'd be willing to purchase the frame, pick it up, load the tiger and parts (axles, trans, engine, etc.) on the frame and strap it down and load all the other parts in the cars so the buyer would have two rolling vehicles that can be loaded into a container or loaded onto a car hauler more easily. Please note this cost would be over and above the winning bid and of course the buyer is still responsible for shipment. The winning bidder is open to move the cars any way they want but I'm offering this to anyone who needs the mobility of a frame under the Tiger. I'd ask for payment in advance on this. For anyone who doesn't need the extra frame I'll help load the cars at no cost. I hope this helps and thanks for your interest in the cars. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
