Vehicle Detail
Lumbering Beast of British Automotive Heritage combined with the Engineering of the BMW Group was such a fantastic combination. The 2004 Range Rover was the epitome of high end luxury! It still has that feeling today! It rides smoothly, accelerates adequately, and has plenty of room to feel like you are an oil tycoon or celebrity! This Range Rover, with a little bit of TLC, will have you riding in the lap of luxury for a small fraction of the cost of a new one! The features in this thing are astounding! Heated Front and Rear Leather Seats! Memory Seats! Heated Steering Wheel! Heated Windshield! Moonroof! HID Headlights! LED Tail Lights! Multifunction Steering Wheel Controls! Dual Zone Climate Control! And More! I've owned this Range Rover for over a year now as my personal car. I've used it for towing the boat as well as just drive it around for the class. I put new tires on it a year ago and they have a bunch of tread still and ride quietly. It had ball joints replaced in the front suspension followed by an alignment. The engine and transmission run fine and it drives down the road straight. The Range Rover does have a few issues that will need addressed by the next owner. I just had a new hood release cable installed due to the old cable jamming and not latching the hood. The hood unlatched and opened up as I was on the highway entrance ramp... The hood still closes and now it latches solid with the new cable. When it opened, it bent the back corners and dented the middle section (see photos). I've checked around for a new hood locally and found one on car-part.com for $395 and its finished in Java Black so it's just a bolt on swap. The radio will works but it is missing the navigation unit in the trunk. If I leave the radio fuse in the battery will die. Someone told me that since the navigation unit isn't there the modules aren't "sleeping" since its looking for a signal that isn't there... so I just leave the fuse out. Also, the battery was just replaced when I got it a year ago from the previous owner. The heat and air conditioning work fine and I've never had an issue with them. All heated seats work except the rear left seat. The heated steering wheel works which is an awesome feature! The air suspension does leak down after a couple days but only sometimes especially when colder out. I can get it to pump up by fiddling with the height control knob but if you drive it everyday it doesn't end up being an issue. The sunroof wind deflector can keep it from closing properly and needs held down manually to close. There is an oil leak that I can smell venting off on the hot exhaust. And lastly the check engine light sometimes comes on. It has been scanned and it is a short in some sort of purge valve. These are the issues I have noticed and I know it sounds like a lot on paper but they should be pretty easy fixes and I'm just trying to disclose what I know about it so you can be fully informed on your purchase. The bones of the Range Rover are pretty strong and it does run and drive down the road. Due to the issues it has I would recommend transporting it to your location instead of driving it. When I was driving it a lot (mostly over the summer) it was great! I really bought it in the first place to have something better to tow my boat with instead of my old Jeep ZJ It was perfect for that! I've decided it will be better for me to have something with a truck bed to use at work as well. I am a licensed dealer in Ohio so all applicable sales tax(Ohio and several other states), government fees, a $250 document fee, etc will be added to the final bid price. You will get a 45 day temporary tag as well included in the fees. The title will then be transferred to your name in the form of an Ohio State Title and mailed to your current mailing address. This vehicle, due to the age, miles, and listed disclosures, will be sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed, implied, or otherwise. Once you've bought it, there are no returns or repairs to be honored by me or my dealership. I highly recommend coming to take a look at this Range Rover before bidding and taking it for a test drive. It does drive nice but like I said before, I would advise against driving it long distance to your location since it does need some TLC. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a time to look at this Range Rover, please message me through eBay! I don't doubt with a little bit of elbow grease you could have this Range Rover operating exactly how the original designers hoped it would operate! Good Luck Happy Bidding!
