1996 Honda XR200 Up for auction is a 1996 Honda XR200 Dirtbike Motorcycle. The bike is mostly in original condition. The magneto was changed out a few years ago to run the headlight. The tail light is not wired. This bike was never ridden hard. It was used as a pit bike for motocross races and my Sunday rider. Bike was well maintained. Never crashed. This bike is very forgiving and smooth riding yet has power to it . The bike was predominantly ridden in the woods but did do some street as well. At one point I had a license plate on it for offroad and crossing streets. I purchased the bike in 1998 from the original owner. The bike was in brand new condition. He had bought it for his wife who only rode it twice. She disliked riding and it sat in his garage for 1 1/2 years. I sold it about 5 years ago to a friend who had it for 2 years, rode it on weekends occasionally and couldn't afford to own toys anymore. I bought it back and have had it again 2 years. It was ridden up and down my road twice. While I owned bike it was always kept inside and cleaned after each use. The bike has some superficial rust, needs new hand grips and needs a gasket near gas tank. There are a few marks in original decals, some of the white plastic has some discoloration. Seat does not have any rips or tears. Headlamp needs to be reattached on one side. When last used the gas leaked slowly. Mechanic said it was a gasket, could order from Honda and not a hard fix. Handlebars are not original. Other than that the bike ran well for its age. Bike has some wear on the frame from use. Bike comes with clear title and bill of sale. Mileage unknown.
