1964 Mercedes 230sl. Badged as 280sl. We have owned this car for approx. 25 years. Was purchased in Arizona 25 years ago and has never been driven in winter since we owned it. Has been driven very little. This car has what we think is an M130 engine with very rare chromed intake manifold and chromed Behr coolant reservior. Paired with 3 speed automatic transmission. Motor runs strong. Transmission functions as it should but tends to shift slowly until transmission fluid is up to temperature. Interior is in good condition. could use detailing. It's mostly been in storage in recent years. Sounds like there is an exhaust leak starting also but it's not terrible. Body is in good condition. Paint is well above average for it's age except for two areas. The hood looks like it was closed with the oil fill cap removed and dented hood (2"-3" radius dent). Also there is a paint crack in the driver's side fender about 3/8" wide by 3" long(easy fix). Otherwise paint looks good. I haven't had on lift to look under car but I tried to take some pictures. Brakes are functioning but since it's been stored I would recommend going through brakes before driving regularly. Tires are in very good shape but are probably at least 5 years old. Also comes with removable hardtop. Exterior is in good condition. Hard top could use cleaning and maybe upholstery. We typically have it sitting on a stand in the corner of the shop. Convertible top is in very good condition and has been replaced. Car also comes with 4 original hub caps. 3 are painted to match. the 4th is silver (don't know why). All gauges appear to be working just fine except for clock. Also comes with a box of parts, manuals etc... that we got with car or have collected over years. Please note- I have described this to best of my very limited knowledge of older Mercedes'.
