This great truck is a rare factory black 66 short wide custom cab 1/2-ton that has been completely restored. Driven less than 400 miles since completion in November 2017. Equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, new a/c, new tires with American Racing wheels, complete new interior, new paint, new bumpers, new grille, new bed wood kit, new weather strips, new window fuzzies, new fuel tank, new fuel pump, newly rebuilt 350 turbo transmission with a mild shift kit, completely rebuilt 72 350 LT-1 3970010 four barrel engine with a little hotter cam, rebuilt LT-1 3973487 2.02 1.60 heads, new aluminum 4 core radiator, new mini starter, new alt, new water pump, new battery, and on and on. Also a completely rebuilt 12 bolt rear axle with 3:23 gear was added. This truck had very little rust. What rust there was, was NOT knocked down and Bondo smeared over, it has been fixed right. Both rear wheel tubs, both front fenders, both rockers, both cab corners, and all cab mounts and supports were replaced. The aforementioned parts is where any and all rust was located. I don't do patch panels or partial fixes and it is now absolutely rust free. Everything works. All lights and signals, speedometer, horn, wipers, dash lights, interior lights, heater, a/c, the choke and fast idle, even the original AM radio although the volume control has static when adjusting.This truck runs down the road straight and true and stops the same way. There are no shakes or vibrations and no wind noise even at highway speeds. Drive it anywhere. The heater and defrost work perfectly and the new a/c is ice cold. TRUCK NEEDS NOTHING AND IS READY TO GO AS IT SETS. REASON FOR SALE I built this truck for my Grandson who is turning sixteen shortly. His Mother recently let me know she didn't like the idea of him driving an older vehicle with none of the protection of a new car. I cannot argue with that but she can buy him a new car if that's what it takes. This is a great truck and as safe as it was when new but after all it is 52 years old. Any older vehicle is not as safe as a new 2018 but this truck will not go down in value like a new car will. Maybe it is not something a young teenager should have but it will never lose money like a new car, in fact if cared for it will certainly gain in value. Please ask any questions you may have and I will answer ASAP. Come inspect in person or have a third party do so prior to end of sale. There will be no negotiations after auction ends.
