Up for auction is a very cool, all original 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline four door sedan. This car is all stock- with only 32,156 original miles! It has a clear Illinois title. This car was bought new and driven until 1954 when the original owner passed away. It has had good storage since that time. Drivetrain is the original 216 cu. in. straight 6 cylinder engine with a manual 3 speed transmission. Since this car had not been driven for many years, it did need some work to get it road worthy again. It has all new brakes- master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and hoses. It also has a new gas tank, fuel pump and water pump. This car runs and drives great. All the lights and gauges work like they should. The only things that don't work are the clock and horn. The body is very solid with original paint. There are some dings/dents along with some cracking but you can see exactly what you have. Trim is all there in good condition. Front bumper does has a rust hole in it where water softener salt was stored. Glass is all there with no cracks. This is a great car to leave as is-just drive and have fun with it, restore to original, or as the start of a great street rod project. Original cars like this are hard to find in any condition but finding one with only 32K miles is really rare. It is for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
