RUNS AND DRIVES TEXAS NON-REPAIRABLE TITLE - FLOOD 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Rear wheel drive 5.3 L V8 32,700 actual miles Tow Package with trailer brakes All Options, it's loaded! The truck was a flood recovery from Houston so it has a "Texas Non-Repairable" branded title. From what I understand, it is possible to revive a non repairable branded title vehicle in other states and get it registered but it can never be registered in Texas again. I cannot see anywhere that water entered the cab of the truck and I haven't done anything to it except vacuum it out and check the oil before I drove it to the transmission shop to be evaluated. Everything electronically works and it seems to run good but the transmission ingested water and therefore needs rebuilt or replaced. It does run and drive but 1st gear is slipping so you have to put into manual and start out driving in 2nd gear and shift in manually with the shifter button. The transmissions is going to need rebuilt or replaced soon.I've got quotes of roughly $1,500 for a used transmission and $500 to install it locally but I just don't have the time or extra money to fix it right now so I'm selling the truck as is. I'm not trying to make money, just want my money back out of it.
